Few tulips offer such deep, vibrant, luxuriant colouring as the beautiful Tulip 'Negrita Double'. Its vivid petals are royal purple with bluish undertones, but also streaked and veined with a deeper shade of beetroot-purple. This recently-introduced tulip is a beautiful peony-type, and holds its flowers on short, stout stems. When planted in groups it makes a wonderful display. Tulip 'Negrita Double' is suitable for beds, borders or patio containers, and will mix well with contrasting colours, such as whites, yellows or orange; or complementary colours including pinks and softer lilacs.
