Dahlia 'Jowey Linda'

Dahlia 'Jowey Linda'

Measuring up to a whopping 15cm across, the perfectly spherical flowers of Dahlia 'Jowey Linda' make a truly showstopping feature in the garden. These warm, apricot orange blooms fall into the ‘ball’ category of dahlias, essentially meaning they are very large versions of the perhaps more commonly known pompom type. Dahlia 'Jowey Linda' is magnificent for bouquets and arrangements, so make sure you plant plenty of spares for picking!

Dahlias are half-hardy, meaning they will need a little help to get through our cold, damp winters. If you have heavy soil or live somewhere prone to very hard frosts, your best bet is to lift and store the Dahlia 'Jowey Linda' tubers in a greenhouse or shed. If you garden on light, well-draining soil, or live in a milder area (usually southern or coastal regions), you will get away with leaving them in the ground with a thick layer of mulch.
