Dahlia 'French Cancan'
Big, blousy blooms in soft, sunset hues set Dahlia 'French Cancan' apart from the crowd, somehow flamboyant yet subtle at the same time. Each petal is a pale, creamy orange with a warm, peachy pink underside, and has a slightly twisted form which means both colours can be seen together. Measuring approximately 13cm across, the flowers of Dahlia 'French Cancan' are large enough to make an impact, though not so big that they can’t be mixed with other plants in a border or container display. AKA just right!
Give your 'French Cancan' dahlias a head start by potting the tubers up as soon as they arrive, and, if this is before the last risk of frost has passed, keeping in a cool, frost-free environment until it is safe to plant them outside (usually around mid to late May). Pinching out the growing tips when they reach around 20cm tall will give you extra bushy and floriferous plants.
