Calla 'Akela'
The luscious berry purple of the Calla 'Akela' creates a picture of a cool and delicious summer treat. It’s as if cream has been poured over berries and has mixed with their juice, softening the deep purple that covers the inside of the funnel-shaped blooms round the edge of the funnel, and spilling over onto the outside of the bloom. In the process, some of the cream has spilt onto the fresh green foliage, spotting it with white. This stunning Zantedeschia 'Akela' will show off well in containers or make a deliciously cool display if planted in groups in borders. 'Akela' well deserves its place as one of the Deluxe varieties in our Calla selection.
